Cut
Plush and linen cut by hand from a paper pattern that has not changed since the first bear in 2019.
Sewn
Seams closed twice: once on the machine, once by hand around the ears and the tag.
Stuffed
Recycled polyester fibre, weighed to the gram, so every bear of a batch sits the same way.
Named
A name on the paw tag, a card with the bear’s story, tissue paper — then the post office.
Every bear can carry a name
Add up to twelve letters at no extra cost. We embroider them on the linen tag on the left paw, so the bear is theirs from the first cuddle.
Questions people ask before adopting
Are the bears safe for a baby?
Yes, with two exceptions. Every bear has an embroidered face — no plastic eyes, no buttons — and any accessory is stitched in at two points. Theo (glasses) is for 12 months up, and Finn’s satchel buckle is stitched shut on bears going to under-threes. Tell us the age in the order note and we will do the sensible thing.
How long does a named bear take?
Two extra working days. The tag is embroidered here, not printed, and we do them in batches every Tuesday and Thursday. An un-named bear leaves within one working day.
Can I return a bear?
Un-named bears: 30 days, no questions, as long as it is unused. A bear with a name on it can only come back if something is wrong with it — we cannot sell an “Ellie” to anyone else.
How do I wash it?
Clothes off and into the machine at 30°. The bear itself: a damp cloth for most things, and a 30° wash in a pillowcase if it has been through something serious. Air dry, never tumble.
